    Itinerary (suggested)

    Day 1

Pick up is at the hotel where you are staying and we head towards Pinhão on the Douro Valley to see the vineyards.

In the morning we will hike through the vineyards while having gorgeous views of the landscape and Douro river, ending on a relaxing lunch with regional products.

After lunch we go for wine tasting on a winery, followed by a boat trip on the river so you can have a different perspective of the valley, the river and the vineyards.

At the end of the day we drive to the national park and rest so you can be ready for the next adventure on the following day.

    Day 2

On this second day, we will go further East to reach the Côa Valley and its river, a tributary to the Douro River, where the famous engravings are located. An official guide will take us on a museum’s 4×4 vehicle to see the Canada do Inferno Prehistoric Rock-Art site, on the western bank of the river Côa. The engravings are well protected and can be only visited with certified guides. There are more than one thousand engraved rocks, spread across 80 different locations and some are 30 thousand years old! After the visit we will have lunch at a local restaurant and on our way back to the hotel in the afternoon, we will take a scenic road and make a few stops along the way at some view points and historical sites.
